Transforming Dreams into Reality Walkathon

The National Federation of the Blind is the civil rights transformative organization for blind Americans. It is constantly dispelling myths surrounding what it means to be a blind person. Blindness is only, one of many varied characteristics.

Since 1942, the National Federation of the Blind of Alabama has advocated for the blind community on different areas of equality. There have been victories realized, yet we still must find ways to continue enhancing opportunities for blind Alabama citizens.

Their annual walk is the Affiliate’s signature fundraising event. There will be blind citizens from across the state promoting this initiative. Your participation will assist our endeavor toward having a successful walk, as we enhance farther, the lives of blind individuals. Will you consider becoming a sponsor of our “5th Transforming Dreams into Reality” walkathon. The goal this year is to raise $5,000. Every contribution will bring them closer to reaching their goal. The proceeds will afford them the opportunity to continue promoting independence through our key programs: B.E.L.L. Academy, educational scholarships and annual upward mobility training conferences.

The walk will take place on October 22, 2022 at the Ida Bell Young Park, 5400 Vaughn Rd, Montgomery, Al 36116 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. For more information visit https://NFBAL5thwalk.eventbrite.com
