Selma's Wal-Mart Super Center Awards Grant to V.I.P.

V.I.P. was awarded a $1,000.00 grant from the Selma Wal-Mart Super Center.

Funds will be used toward the V.I.P. Low Vision Center located at the Dallas County Health Department.

The center offers low vision evaluations on assistive technology to assist people with visual impairments to lead a productive life. Training on how to use magnifiers and screen readers for computers.

V.I.P. also offers mentoring and support to the visually impaired and to their care givers. Information and referrals and a whole lot more.

Bowman says, I want to thank Wal-Mart for their generous donation and for believing in our mission of serving the needs of the visually impaired of Selma and Dallas County and the nation.

Helen a Wal-Mart team member was also awarded for being a volunteer at a V.I.P. low vision support group meeting for June.
